What
We are using a small UAV to enhance the view of a product, vision and/or service. For real estate, we use drones for aerial video and photos of properties and surrounding amenities and attractions. We also provide inside video and still shots to complete the package. For General Contractors/Developers, we use our drone services for marketing current job sites and there progress. Additionally, we can offer asset management from above. For agricultural views, you can use our drones to take aerial footage of the health of your crop as a whole. Perhaps you need to inspect a building that is 20 stories high, but don’t want to deploy a person due to risk of injury and cost? Send our drone up for a quick inexpensive inspection. The possibilities are endless. Call DR One Projects for their expert advice and view on your opportunity.
Where/How
We can deploy a drone ANYWHERE. With the qualifications, experience and passion, our drones can capture virtually any message you want to deliver to your audience. Our pilots have experience from operating the remote, all the way to communicating properly with a tower in controlled air space. Using us is the easy choice, because there is less liability knowing the extent of our qualifications and experience.
** If you have an idea that we haven't mentioned, please feel free to reach out for further discussion. We are adaptable to any opportunity as long as it stays within the restrictions the FAA has in place.
Who We Are
----
RACHAEL SMALL
The owner, Rachael Small, was born and raised in Virginia Beach. Growing up the only child, she was very active with her friends, especially in sports. She was often referred to as a “tom boy” because she preferred to play football with the boys. She remained active in sports through high school, and got her first job at a national retailer when she was 16. She was promoted quickly through the years and made her way to the GM of one of the highest volume stores in the company. While this job afforded her many opportunities, after 8 years she decided it was time for a change. Rachael took a business to business sales position for a local IP surveillance software company out of Norfolk. Shortly after, she had an opportunity to work for a global company where she worked her way to a Sales Manager. Then, one day her husband called and said “I have an idea….”

MARK SMALL
The founder, Mark Small, was born in Alexandria, VA and moved to Va Beach as a school age child. Flying is in his blood because his late grandfather was a professional pilot. His spirit will forever live on through Mark as he has his pilots license with instrument rating, and various other accomplishments. He graduated from high school and joined the Air Force immediately as he knew he wanted to represent his country the ultimate way, as a member of the US Military. He spent the next six years working on the C-5 as an avionics technician. When he got out of the Air Force, he started working as an engineering technician for the Coast Guard on the H65 helicopter. As a 30 year old married man with a young son, he decided to go back to school to pursue his Bachelors Degree in Aeronautics at Liberty University online. He worked a full-time job, was taking between 15- 18 credit hours a semester, and had a family to tend to. Then, one day he called his wife and said “I have an idea……”, and here we are today.

Both Mark and Rachael complement each other well as business owners. Mark has the passion and skill of flying while Rachael brings the sales and marketing expertise to the table. Mark has flying in his blood, and Rachael has entrepreneurship in hers. Her Dad, also a Virginia Beach native, has been self-employed the majority of his life. Mark and Rachael both enjoy time with their son, their dogs, and on the beach. Mark is an avid surfer, while Rachael cheers him on from her beach chair. They enjoying traveling to sporting events, visiting different places to see lifelong friends and/or family, and have a true appreciation for a cold beer on a beautiful day. They are people’s people and often participate in local charity events however possible. One goal that will ALWAYS remain a priority, both personally and as business owners, is to remain active in the community and supporting local charities.
